Sue Medley

Sue Medley has earned numerous awards for her performances and songwriting over the years including a Juno Award and two SOCAN Songwriting Awards. Her first self-titled album, released on Polygram Records, earned her a gold record in Canada with one hits on rock radio. Her debut single Dangerous Times was in the top spot for over 3 months on adult contemporary radio in Canada. Her most recent award was for the song High Time, voted Pop/Rock Song of the Year at the 2014 Vancouver Island Music Awards. She was also inducted onto the Comox Valley Walk of Achievement in July 2018.


A longtime resident of Comox, Sue has toured with rock legends such as Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Tom Cochrane and Dwight Yoakum. A career highlight performance was at the Tribute to Bob Dylan at Madison Square Gardens in New York in 1992.


Sue’s music has elements of blues, roots, rock, pop and a touch of country. She is best known as a powerful vocalist and songwriter and continues to perform when the opportunities arise. Sue looks forward to seeing everyone at the Filberg Festival.
