Raina Bird is an emerging artist living and painting on the west coast of Canada. Her captivating, highly detailed oil paintings weave together figurative realism and the vivid scenery of the natural world. Focusing on themes of feminine empowerment, transformation and connection with the land, Raina's art transcends the boundaries of mere representation and becomes a poetic ode to Life itself. Through archetypes expressed in her paintings, there is an invitation to remember our wholeness and our innate connection to the greater world. With many hours of dedication I make my original oil paintings. My paintings are painted on either belgian linen or wood canvas with artist quality oil paints and custom framed by my husband, most often using ethically sourced local wood. I will also have prints of various sizes available. This includes cards, paper prints, and canvas prints. All my prints are printed by a small local business. All paper for paper prints and cards is made in Canada.
