We are a family owned and operated meadery that specializes in the usage of all natural local ingredients in honey wine. We use blackberry and wildflower honey extracted from a local apiary on Saltspring Island and in the Fraser Valley. We then add a bounty of herbs, berries, and fruits grown on Salt Spring Island. No sulphites or other preservatives have been added to the mead, so the customer feels as good as the honey wine tastes!
Hearth and Fire is our warming spiced mead which pairs perfectly with fruits, apple pie, and cheese plates. Having recently won double gold at the 2023 All Canadian Wine Competition, and currently found on the menu of Michelin Star awarded Vancouver restaurants like St. Lawrence, or in cocktails at Bartholomew in Yaletown, it makes a perfect gift for those looking to add some locally made sweet spice to their life. Our second mead is called Midnight Dream and it is a balance between floral acidity and honey tones, with a cardamom and raspberry finish. It draws the customer's attention with its beautiful natural red colour it gets from the berries. Pairs well with chocolate desserts and is an excellent summer drink on the rocks.
