Alissa Assu belongs to the Laksamshu (Fireweed and Owl) Clan from the Witsuwit’en (interchangeably with Wet'suwet'en) First Nation People; the people of the Wa Dzun Kwuh (Bulkley River). Together with Cody Assu (Haida and We Wai Kai First Nation) husband, Bear Essential Oils is operated and owned 100% Authentic Indigenous. Outside of Bear, Alissa and Cody are parents to Ember and Charlie and reside in Campbell River, Vancouver Island.
