Yael Wand and Christina Zaenker

Blending jazz, blues, folk and gospel influences with “the effortless beauty of her voice” (Exclaim!), Yael Wand is a songwriter and vocalist whose recording career spans more than 25 years. Her latest album, Saltwater Heartwood - an ode to self-discovery and the quietly transformative moments of life - earned two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations, including English Songwriter of the Year. Audiences connect deeply to her vivid storytelling, songs of life in the slow lane, and her “fluid and silky voice… from a bluegrass quaver to slick jazzy delivery or classic, clean Canadiana folk” (Vancouver Sun). Yael (guitar, ukulele) is joined by long-time collaborator, Christina Zaenker, on cello.
