BIO

Laura McGlone is a local Comox Valley photographer whose passion is to capture and share images of the natural and human beauty of the world. Four of her images have won Bronze awards in the International Aperture Awards competition. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Chicago's City Hall, Brinsmead Kennedy Gallery in Edmonton, and Oak Park Arts Council's Sullivan Gallery in Chicago. In 2023, five of Laura's pieces accompanied the Royal BC Museum's traveling "Mushrooms" exhibition at the Courtenay Museum. Her work can be found in numerous private collections.

CRAFT

Laura McGlone's original photographs of Comox Valley scenes and other parts of Vancouver Island are vibrantly printed on 24x36" and 40x60" canvas by a professional Canadian printer using the highest quality Epson printers and inks. They are then gallery wrapped by hand around locally-sourced, renewable pine wood frames. Canvases have a UV-protective coating that protects them from fading for approximately 200 years. Laura also sells her Vancouver Island photographs in the form of greeting cards arranged in reusable boxed sets of ten.
